Enbridge Gas Inc. sponsors energy efficiency in our new anti-violence centre

Thanks to the incredibly generous support of Enbridge, our new centre is on track to achieve Tier 1 rating for energy efficiency using the Toronto Green Standard. Energy efficiency is a key design element in our new centre both to reduce our carbon footprint and to manage future operating and maintenance costs. We are so grateful to Enbridge for their commitment to fuel quality of life within the communities where they work and operate.

Anne Marie D’Amico Foundation, December 3

Everyone at North York Women’s Shelter is deeply moved and very honoured to have our HER campaign be selected by the Anne Marie D’Amico Foundation to be the beneficiary of their fundraising. By investing in NYWS’s campaign to build a new, anti-violence centre, the AMD Foundation is taking an active role in addressing violence against women. They are creating a powerful legacy in Anne Marie’s name that will help so many women and children impacted by violence and help put an end to gender-based violence itself.

Together, the Anne Marie D’Amico Foundation and North York Women’s Shelter are taking a strong stand in addressing and ending violence against women.

North York Rotary Club

On July 11, 2018 the Rotary Club of North York presented North York Women’s Shelter with the biggest donation in the Club’s history. This generous gift will help build a brand new, state-of-the-art Violence Against Women Centre to serve women and children fleeing violence from across the GTA.

Life-saving donation presented to North York Women’s Shelter by the Rotary Club of North York is biggest in club history.

Toronto Wolfpack

North York Women’s Shelter is thrilled to have the support of the Toronto Wolfpack and second row, Cory Paterson, to end violence against women. We are working together to help rebuild lives through Healing, Empowerment and Refuge.
