Donate
to NYWS
When you make a secure online donation to NYWS today, you’re funding a holistic and intersectional feminist approach to pushing back against gender-based violence in your community. When you do, you are making a safe future possible for real people who are living through violence this very moment.
Your donation will help our residents, 60 percent of whom are children, by funding vital services, safety planning and transitional housing support, plus programs like sharing circles, creative expression and mindful movement to help survivors heal from the violence they’ve experienced.
If you have any questions please contact donations@nyws.ca
Other Ways to Give
In-Kind Donations
We accept donations of hygiene items, clothing (women/unisex/children’s), educational items, small homeware/kitchenwares, non-perishable foods and gift cards.
If you'd like to offer a donation, please contact donations@nyws.ca, so that we can determine if your donation would be a good fit.
Please Note: We cannot accept any used item donations, including gently worn clothing. NYWS does not have the capacity to pick up items, so all donations must be dropped off at our admin office. We kindly ask that you give us prior notice before dropping off donations.
Give Securities
One way you can support North York Women's Shelter is by making a donation of securities. This includes stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. It's one of the most financially effective ways to give a gift because you can skip on capital gains taxes.
If you want to donate your securities to NYWS, visit the link below, and search for North York Women's Shelter to allocate funds to us.
