Mobilize your Community
North York Women’s Shelter is committed to working towards a world free of gender-based violence. We actively work to provide violence-against women’s services in the GTA and advocate for change in our community. But we can’t change things alone - we need your support.
We encourage you, our community members, to spread the word about gender-based violence and the services we offer, and help us in raising funds to help us fight gender-based violence.

Group Volunteer Opportunities
Looking for an engaging and meaningful corporate volunteering or team-building experience? North York Women's Shelter is partnered with Kits for a Cause to host the Compassion Kit Project, perfect for teams or special events.
Come together with colleagues, friends or family to assemble personalized care kits that directly support women and families experiencing homelessness and crisis. This impactful volunteer opportunity is designed for groups of all sizes; whether you're a team of 5 or a company of 500, your efforts will bring comfort and hope directly to our shelter residents.
