For many families escaping gender-based violence, a beloved pet is  also a source of comfort and emotional support during their most difficult times. North York Women’s Shelter recognizes the importance of this companionship, which is why we are proud to be the city’s first gender-based violence shelter which allows pets to remain with their family during their transition away from violence. 

Your donation will help us to provide food and treats, maintain our on-site pet kennel and provide toys and enrichment to support animals with their anxiety.
