When you join NYWS Together, you are joining a tight knit community of supporters. You are supporting an emergency shelter and anti-violence collective. You are supporting an organization that is committed to continually and consistently championing justice, intersectional feminism, and providing trauma-informed care to survivors of violence.

Addressing a systemic and complex issue such as gender-based violence is not a short-term goal, it is a long-term commitment. Monthly giving provides NYWS a reliable source of consistent funding to ensure that we can continue innovating and implementing strategies, programs, and services that build towards our vision of a community characterized by gender equality and a world in which women, trans, nonbinary folks and their children are empowered and safe.

Members of the NYWS Together community will have the opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of shelter services and to gain insight into our programs including Expressive Arts Therapy and a Food Justice and Food Security program. We’ll also be sending activities pertaining to NYWS’s programs- be that a simple recipe we’ve served on the menu at the shelter or a craft idea from our Expressive Arts Therapist! You’ll receive insight into our work through bi-annual videos from staff and can learn about other members of the NYWS Together community through bi-monthly donor spotlights.
